Christopher E. Needham joined Bariston Partners in February 2002. Mr. Needham is a Managing Director and principal shareholder of Bariston Partners, LLC. He began his career as an operations manager with Kachemak Seafoods, a salmon processing company in Alaska. In 1983, Mr. Needham joined State Street Bank in corporate banking, specializing in lending to middle market manufacturers, distributors, retailers and service companies. From 1992 to 1999, he managed the communications industries lending group at State Street, growing commitments from $200 million to $650 million and expanding into ten new industry segments. After Citizens Bank acquired State Street’s commercial banking business in 1999, Mr. Needham served as Division Executive of the Communications and Publishing Lending Division at Citizens until 2001. After successfully integrating the business into Citizens’ organization, the Division’s commitments grew to $1.2 billion across more than twenty industry segments including cable television, cellular telephone, rural telephone, communications towers, security alarm monitoring, records management, newspapers, magazines, television, radio and outdoor advertising. Mr. Needham serves on the Board of Directors of the Learning Center for Deaf Children and is a director of Guardian Security Holdings, Inc. He previously served on the Board of Health Watch Holdings, Inc. and Coastal Security Systems, Inc. Mr. Needham holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a BS in Finance from the University of Maryland.
