David A. Barry is a co-founder of Bariston Holdings, Inc. and is a principal shareholder of Bariston Partners, LLC. Mr. Barry serves as President of Bariston Partners, LLC and its affiliates. He began his career at Hornblower and Weeks in 1971 as a corporate finance generalist. In 1976, Mr. Barry joined Paine Webber, becoming the Managing Director of Paine Webber’s Boston office in 1980. His Wall Street experience includes initial public offerings and public and private offerings of equity and debt, as well as merger and acquisition activities. In 1982, Mr. Barry became a Principal and Managing Director of First Winthrop Corporation. He was also a member of Winthrop’s Operating and Investment Committees. It was during this time that he began to develop his focus on the cable television and communications industries. Mr. Barry has served on the board of a number of client companies, including AgriManagement, Inc., Commonwealth Business Media, Inc., The Golf Channel, HCPro Holdings, Inc., Moose River Publishing, PageAmerica Group, Inc., Sentry Management Corp., and Utilicom Networks, Inc. Mr. Barry holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a Sc.B degree in Electrical Engineering from Brown University.
