Ernest (Ernie) J. Panos joined Bariston Partners in September 2002 and is a Principal of the firm. Mr. Panos began his career at Salomon Brothers (1989 to 1991) as an intern in corporate bond research. From 1992 to 1994, Mr. Panos worked at J.P. Morgan Securities in equity and high yield research. From 1996 to 1997, Mr. Panos served as an Associate with A.G. Edwards & Sons in investment banking. From 1998 to 2002, Mr. Panos worked at First Union Securities, initially in the mergers and acquisitions group and subsequently as a Vice President in the telecommunications investment banking group. Mr. Panos has extensive transaction execution experience in capital markets including: mergers and acquisitions, senior debt, investment grade and high yield debt, convertible securities, private and public equity, and derivatives. Mr. Panos’ experience covers a broad range of industries. He is currently an observer on the Board of Directors of Health Watch Holdings, Inc. Mr. Panos earned an MBA degree from The University of Chicago Graduate School of Business and a BS degree in finance, investments and economics from Babson College.
