Matthew M. Whitney joined Bariston Partners as a Senior Associate
in August 2001. He is involved in all stages of the firm’s investment
activities and client company support. He joined Mintz, Levin, Cohn, Ferris,
Glovsky & Popeo, PC in its strategic consulting affiliate, ML Strategies,
Inc., in 1995 as an Analyst. In 1997, Mr. Whitney joined the Strategic and
Financial Consulting division of Arthur Andersen where he provided merger and
acquisition consulting services to attorneys general regarding transactions
in the health care industry. Mr. Whitney also worked at Arcadia Partners, an
early-stage venture capital firm focused on the e-learning and distance education
markets. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Boston Center
for Adult Education. Mr. Whitney holds an MBA from the Amos Tuck School at
Dartmouth College, and a BA in Political Science from Tufts University.
